I followed this with another email on 21st. Still no reply. I followed this with a phone call and finally on the 24th a very nice lady …

In a bid to put an end to cartelisation by cement manufacturing companies in India, the builders’ Joint Action Committee, has decided to import cement from Sri Lanka, China and Bangladesh in protest against the hike of cement prices by the manufacturers in India, the NIE reported.
Importing cement from the eastern countries will help in reducing the per bag price by about `30, which will eventually benefit the consumers as construction prices will come down, the builders argued.

Where's all our financial experts

Thu Apr 20, 2017 2:32 am by skyfall

I just wonder where all our financial experts in this forum now? Some were kept banging on how bad the situation and we all should stay away from the market (until a government change).
Some were endlessly cursing the current president and PM.

They are utter clueless about markets (same like 90% brokers in the market).

It was really really funny to see them blame the existing government for all thier idiotic mistakes.

Many from the same bunch blamed King's government when it was in 4800..!!

Why Stocks Move in Stock Markets

Wed Apr 20, 2016 8:05 am by EquityChamp

People will think stock market is a casino spot or gaming spot when they loose money from it or hear from others of such losses. But in reality if you can spot on the reason for any stock to move, up or down, then you should be not making any losses at all. What are the reasons possibly could influence a move of a stock?

Broadly we can identify three main reasons for witch a stock can move, both ways.

a) Performance of the company
b) Speculation
c) Manipulation

Performance driven movement
This is broadly the summary of the end result of a company's core business activity. For example if we …

Stay cautious and do not get carried away by the market movements.

Sat Apr 15, 2017 4:37 pm by Asoka Samarakone

Stock market for beginners
Stay cautious and do not get carried away by the market movements. Do your research and stay invested. Invest based on your goals, experience and income. Invest in what you know and produce profits.
Buy stocks that you will feel comfortable holding. Don’t let what you cannot do get in the way of what you can do. Stocks don’t go up and stay up because of stories, tips, or people’s opinions; they go up for specific reasons. Find those reasons, and then act on your own knowledge. Never follow the crowd blindly or believe rumors without investigating.  The lesson …
