Someone should look at the current move by Lanka Ceramics to effectively transfer out its holding of Lanka Wall Tiles in a fashion that leaves the shareholder having to make a very difficult choice. The same objective of moving shares from Lanka Ceramics to Royal Ceramics could have been done by offering one share of Lanka Wall Tiles for a certain number of shares in Lanka Ceramics so as to be in proportion with how much of the asset base of Lanka Ceramics is made up of Lanka Wall Tiles. By doing this the shareholder would have been left off in the same asset holding position as before and there would be no difference in the way the major and minor shareholders are being treated. This is incredibly unfair and the regulators approval is very worrisome. The company that did the valuation and the lawyers that proposed this are complicit in fraud and market manipulation.
